Sean 'Diddy' Combs Pleads Not Guilty to Updated Indictment as May Trial Approaches

Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the renowned hip-hop mogul and three-time Grammy winner, has entered a plea of not guilty to an updated indictment in a Manhattan federal court.
The new allegations expand on the existing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, to which Combs had previously pleaded not guilty.
The latest indictment, while not introducing new charges, accuses Combs of maintaining control over employees through coercion and threats. Prosecutors allege that Combs and his associates forced staff to work extensive hours with minimal rest, using intimidation tactics including threats of physical violence, financial repercussions, psychological harm, and damage to their reputations.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan claims that Combs exploited his business empire, including his label Bad Boy Entertainment, to abuse women over a two-decade period from 2004 to 2024. The indictment also mentions the organization of "freak offs," events where Combs allegedly induced women and male sex workers to participate in drug-fueled sexual performances.
Combs's legal team, led by attorney Marc Agnifilo, maintains that all interactions were consensual and denies any wrongdoing on behalf of their client. In addition to the federal charges, Combs faces numerous civil lawsuits from individuals alleging sexual assault and misconduct.
The hip-hop mogul appeared in court on Friday, March 14, 2025, sporting greying hair, a grey beard, and baggy prison attire. Several family members were present to support him during the proceedings. Combs has been held in a Brooklyn jail since his arrest in September 2024, awaiting his trial which is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
