Millie Bobby Brown, the star of Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things," has surprised fans and friends alike by revealing that her real name is actually Millie Bonnie Brown. The 21-year-old actress shared this secret with her "Electric State" co-star Chris Pratt during a recent interview with BuzzFeed UK.
When asked about the reason behind changing her middle name to "Bobby," Brown playfully replied, "Just for s--ts and giggles." She added, "I’ve never told anyone that, [but] you heard it here first." While she didn't elaborate on the inspiration for "Bobby," some speculate it might be a nod to her father, Robert Brown.
Brown's stage name isn't the only change she's made recently. After marrying Jake Bongiovi last May, she added another "B" to her name, becoming Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi.
In addition to her name reveal, Brown has been addressing criticism about her appearance. In a recent Instagram video, she spoke out against media scrutiny, saying, "I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman".
Brown's latest film, "The Electric State," premieres on Netflix on March 14, marking another milestone in her career as she continues to navigate the spotlight with grace and humor
