Stephen Curry has made NBA history by becoming the first player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers.

The Golden State Warriors star achieved this remarkable milestone during a game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, March 13, 2025, just one day before his 37th birthday.
Curry entered the game needing two three-pointers to reach the 4,000 mark. He made his first three-pointer in the first quarter, bringing him to 3,999 for his career. The historic 4,000th three-pointer came with 8:19 left in the third quarter, assisted by teammate Moses Moody. The Chase Center erupted in cheers, with fans giving Curry a standing ovation and chanting "MVP."
Despite dealing with some back tightness before the game, Curry finished with 11 points as the Warriors defeated the Kings 130-104. After the game, Curry described it as a "special moment" to achieve the milestone in front of the home crowd.
This achievement adds to Curry's already impressive list of accomplishments, which includes being the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made, a record he set in 2021. Curry has led the league in single-season three-pointers eight times and holds the record for the most three-pointers in a single season with 402 in 2015-16.
The Warriors have been on a hot streak since acquiring Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, winning nine of their last ten games and improving their standing in the Western Conference. Curry has thrived alongside Butler, averaging 30.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds since the trade.
As Curry celebrates this milestone and his upcoming birthday, he remains focused on the Warriors' playoff prospects and the possibility of capturing a fifth championship ring. With his continued excellence and the team's recent success, Curry and the Warriors are poised to be a formidable threat in the postseason.
