A luxury Aurus Senat limousine, part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's official fleet, was engulfed in flames following a mysterious explosion near the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters in Moscow.

The incident, which occurred on March 29, has intensified speculation about potential internal threats and assassination attempts against the Russian leader.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire originated in the vehicle's engine before spreading to its interior.

Video footage circulating online shows thick black smoke billowing from the car, with significant damage observed at the rear. Nearby restaurant workers rushed to assist before emergency crews arrived.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and it remains unclear who was inside the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

The Kremlin’s Presidential Property Management Department, responsible for overseeing Putin’s transport, has not commented on the cause of the blaze.

The explosion has amplified fears surrounding Putin's safety amid growing tensions within Russia’s political elite.

The 72-year-old president is known for using these high-end Russian-made limousines, often gifting them to allies such as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Recent reports suggest that Putin has implemented stringent security measures, including body searches for ceremonial guards and inspections of public areas by Federal Protection Service (FSO) agents. A former bodyguard noted that Putin’s mistrust even extends to his own staff.

This incident follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s controversial remarks predicting Putin’s demise and a decisive turning point in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Zelensky recently declared that “Putin will die soon,” further fueling speculation about internal instability within the Kremlin.

The explosion comes at a time when Russia faces mounting battlefield setbacks and heightened scrutiny over its leadership.

Earlier this year, Moscow issued a stark warning that any attempt on Putin’s life would provoke a nuclear response, underscoring the Kremlin’s deepening paranoia. Meanwhile, Ukrainian intelligence has claimed multiple assassination attempts on Putin have been thwarted.

As investigations into the cause of the explosion continue, questions linger over whether this was a mere technical malfunction or a deliberate act signaling deeper fractures within Russia’s power structure.
