Louis Vuitton has joined the growing trend of ballet-inspired sneakers with the introduction of its new LV Sneakerina. Set to debut online on April 4, 2025, with a global in-store release following on April 11, this innovative footwear combines the elegance of a ballet flat with the functionality of a sneaker.
The LV Sneakerina features a flexible sole utilizing Sacchetto construction, a technique borrowed from traditional ballet flats. The upper incorporates laces and prominently displays the LV logo on the side, while a practical pull tab adorns the heel for easy wear.
At launch, Louis Vuitton will offer the LV Sneakerina in eight different color and material combinations. The palette ranges from vibrant forest green and fuchsia to more subdued beige, black, and white options. Customers can choose from various fabrications including mesh, technical satin, and leather.

This release aligns with the ongoing "balletcore" trend, which has seen a fusion of classic ballet flats with minimalist sneaker designs.
Louis Vuitton joins other luxury brands like Loewe and Ganni in offering their take on this style. The trend has also extended to sportswear brands, with Puma recently launching its Speedcat Ballerina at Copenhagen Fashion Week in January 2025.
While pricing details for the LV Sneakerina have not yet been announced, this launch represents Louis Vuitton's continued expansion into the lucrative sneaker market. As the popularity of versatile, fashion-forward footwear grows, the LV Sneakerina aims to capture the attention of consumers seeking a blend of comfort and luxury in their everyday wear.
