Former UFC star Conor McGregor has officially declared his candidacy for the Irish presidency, centering his campaign on a strong stance against mass migration and advocating for a national referendum on Ireland’s EU migration pact.

McGregor’s announcement has ignited a wave of mixed reactions, with supporters praising him as a champion of the common citizen, while critics accuse him of fostering divisive rhetoric.

The Irish Director of Public Prosecutions is currently reviewing whether to charge McGregor for alleged incitement to hatred related to his controversial social media posts in 2023.

In a passionate statement, McGregor highlighted Ireland’s struggles with illegal migration, linking it to the country’s housing, homelessness, and healthcare crises.

He accused current leaders of enabling these issues “in the dead of night” and called for an immediate halt and reversal of migration policies to preserve Ireland’s future.

“Mass anything without proper infrastructure, services, and checks is doomed to implode,” he declared, positioning himself as the leader capable of addressing these challenges.

“I am the one to do it. Vote McGregor 🇮🇪.” His bold rhetoric underscores his unconventional approach to politics, setting the stage for a contentious campaign.
